This is an original painting, 16" x 12" acrylic and fabric on 1.5" deep cradled panel. The sides of this piece are wood that's been sanded and finished with a clear wax, so the piece can be hung without a frame.

“Evening Storm 1” was inspired by the skies I encountered during a residency in Santa Fe. Close to the end of my stay, there was a huge storm in the middle of the night. I stepped out of my doorway to watch it for a few minutes, and then retreated inside to fall asleep to the pounding rain and the rumbling thunder, occasionally startled awake by bright flashes of lightning. I imagined the clouds and the wind high in the sky.
