This is an original painting, 12"x12" acrylic, paper, vintage embroidery and fabric on 2" deep cradled panel. The sides of this piece are wood that's been sanded and finished, so the piece can be hung without a frame.

Green Canary is a rework of a mixed-media painting that incorporates vintage embroidery on linen. I cut a window into the embroidery to feature a little green canary from an antique cigarette trading card. This piece is full of texture and wonderful details - there’s always something new to find and fascinate.
