This is an original painting, 20"x24" acrylic and fabric on 1.5" deep cradled panel. The sides of this piece are wood that's been sanded and finished, so the piece can be hung without a frame. The painting is protected with a semi-gloss varnish.

“Wintry Mix” was painted after “Atmospheric River”, when I began thinking about weather phenomena. Although I don’t often experience this mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain in San Francisco, I’ve lived in places where it was common. I evoke those chilly swirling winds in this painting.
