This is an original painting, 36"x48" acrylic and fabric on 2" deep cradled panel. The sides of this piece are wood that's been sanded and finished, so the piece can be hung without a frame.

"Cloud Confection" is worked over an earlier mixed-media painting of mine that had hand-crocheted doilies applied to the surface. They were so lacy and delicate that I wanted to create a painting in the same vein. It was a little challenging to work around the texture of the thread, but I'm satisfied with the result.
